Medicine
sales and advice
|
|
| During opening hours our experienced
pharmacists and trained pharmacy assistants are available to
advise on all aspects of healthcare. A waiting area is
available as well as a quiet area and consulting room for
enquiries of a more personal or sensitive nature. |
|
| Dispensing | |
| We dispense both NHS and private
prescriptions and offer a range of additional services via
the Pharmacy First framework. We also prepare and advise on
homeopathic and other natural products and can arrange for
your prescriptions to be collected from local surgeries. We carry a wide range of medicines but if the item(s) you require and not immediately available in stock, we can usually obtain them for you next day. Deliveries may be possible on occasion but we do not offer a regular delivery service. Under certain circumstances and at the discretion of the pharmacist we are able to make an unscheduled or emergency supply of a regularly prescribed medicine that you may require. This facility is reserved for genuine emergencies and a charge may be levied. |
|
| Unwanted and excess medication |
|
| Medicines that are not required may be
returned to the pharmacy for safe destruction. |
|
| Out of hours dispensing | |
| If you have a prescription marked URGENT from
a doctor outwith normal working hours you should call the
police on 101 who can advise on pharmacies open in the area
or will arrange for a duty pharmacist to be called out (not
necessarily from this pharmacy). |
